i was just collecting them till now
I'm Flemish but my english is much better then my french. I do speak french but the writing isn’t that good.
Normally i collect digital watches as i am the administrator of www.newdwf.com. But now and then i
find nice vintage autoradio from my younger years. My best friend back then (30 years ago) had
a big hifi store. He had a nissan 200sx back then with a differend
new carhifi system in it every week. So i have seen alot of these jewels.
So i bough these without thinking over the last 15 years and have a few here now...but i never had
the time or the knowledge to test them or how to connect them.
So i was looking for people with the proper knowledge and cables etc to test then and see
what is working and what not. No i don’t want to build it in my car. My first car is a
chrysler cabrio (don’t ask me why

Yes, I can do it for You. But I'm not an expert on all brands unfortunately
If I understand correctly, you want I test your material with my cables to know if it works or not?
That's right?
Do you have a complete list of this equipment? (to know if I have all the necessary cables according to the periods of different brands).

Re: i was just collecting them till now
Sorry, but I live in France, (in the far West ).
Your photos can't be enlarged, it's difficult to see the exact models even if I have recognized several

Re: i was just collecting them till now
As you all can see. A wide range off different radio,s.
But what am i missing in the centrate radio,s to have a setup like... a radio, a cassette player, a cdplayer and an equalizer.
and i just need a standalone cdplayer and radio that fits with my 1/2 din cassetteplayer and equalizer?

Re: i was just collecting them till now
wow, thanks, Merci
so all the component 2 extensions are compatible? I Always have to start with a headunit and connect other tuner/equalizer etc and i have to end with an ampli.
the cdbox was pioneer cdx m6
Do you also know what models belong to eachother to make a good combo.

Of course, you don't need to put a Tuner on a HU equipped with a Tuner (!! )kasper a écrit:so all the component 2 extensions are compatible? I Always have to start with a headunit and connect other tuner/equalizer etc and i have to end with an ampli.
YES and NO( ), all the component 2 aren't always compatible. It's necessary to check some references, especially for the HU.
I took pictures to illustrate this example with a Pioneer KEX M801 (a brother of your KEX M800)
K = K7 or cassette; E = Component (I think); X = control CD changer; M = Multiplay (13 pin plug in)
Look
right with the red arrow for the CD changer (13 pin)
on the left with the green arrow, for an auxiliary (8 pin)
For yours ampli

Recpect each year and release date between your collectionkasper a écrit:Do you also know what models belong to eachother to make a good combo.
For me, for a correct basic music (...):
Pioneer KEX M800 + CDX M6
Test it without equaliser or processor.
For your amp, they are'nt powerful enough. This'll make music, that's all!
Try a more powerful amp like this:

Re: i was just collecting them till now
i found this one in my cellar. That must do the job
Heavy stuff, i think i could kill someone if i drop it only on his feet
btw what power do i need to test this all; i have an old light tranfo 12v 7 amps...not good i suppose.
or i have this 2
not good enough, i think?

Very good amp' !!!!!kasper a écrit:i found this one in my cellar. That must do the job

Heavy? Yes!
Some of my amp weighs more than 10 / 12kg
No but Yes....kasper a écrit:btw what power do i need to test this all; i have an old light tranfo 12v 7 amps...not good i suppose.

If you want, it works:
A music installation sings under a few ampere, but
according to your total installation and material, 20/ 30 ampere would be well !!

Re: i was just collecting them till now
simply, an auxiliary battery for camper! I use this assembly.
This system supplies enough current.
I know! A battery is ugly but it's the quietest and most practical system.

Re: i was just collecting them till now
at last i have found a decent power supply.
i've got the power now
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first one i've tried was a sony cdx-r3350 radio cd with mp3 and small equalizer, Bought for 5 euro, best money i've spent all year. Incredible radio...sleek and so pure qua design. I love the color of the lcd aswell...white on black.
push the front panel down to insert a cd
and look at that incredible nightshot
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
next one i've tested was an old philips DC699 ...i knew it was special cause my dad had a much cheaper version when i was young. I asked the old lady at the yardsales how much and she said..10 euro. I could not believe my ears...ok just wrap it in and i take it. And it works
super radio. love the red colors and a line in and an equalizer...insane in those days
Difficult to show in the dark
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the last one i've tested but not the least one. Another incredible philips 894 from 1980
Damn the green digits in combination with the preset style digits, i never have seen before. I don't know anymore where i have it from but it plays incredible good. Did i allready tell you that you can
alter the digital frequencies (green digits) with turning the nob. Great stuff those days.
The only thing is i'm missing the backplate...have to find a solution for that.
